    It is not often people write emails or letters of praise but consider this one of the rare ones!
    I must say, ordering your product was about the easiest imaginable. Coupled with the fact that it arrived here basically “next day” I am thoroughly happy. To tell you the truth, I was expecting to have to go pay full retail for one black cartridge thinking that your’s would take at least a week to arrive but I was wrong, the order arrived before I could even go out to get one!

T069 2 Chip Cartridge

Why do you ask that we recommend you purchase our Epson T069 compatible inkjet cartridge rather than refilling the cartridge ?

Full details of refilling can be found here.

Thats right, now it is not only required to refill your cartridge and reset the chip on the front of the inkjet cartridge, but it is also required that you fill it before ink has run out.

Why ! Simply put epson has gotten really tricky now and they have an internal sensor in the cartridge that senses when the ink used is more than 75% used.

It then trips a Electronic fuse that disables the future resetting  of the cartridge preventing its re-use. 

To counter act this second device you now need to refill 2 chambers inside the cartridge and to ensure it is done prior to the 75% use timeframe.

Overall we still think the prudent advice for our clients is to purchase new compatible T069 Series cartridge  products from Metawatch Inkjet supplies.

The T069 series of cartridge is compatible with the Epson Stylus CX5000, Epson Stylus CX6000,and Epson Stylus CX7000F models printers.

The T078 series of Cartridges is compatible with the Epson Stylus Photo R260, Epson Stylus Photo R380, and Epson Stylus Photo RX580 model printers.

T068/T069/T078 Ink Tank Cartridge Refilling

Every year it appears that the Inkjet Cartridge manufactuers are spearheading a never ending battle to try and prevent you the user from re-using the products you have purchased.

This is an overview of the procedure from Cartridge World detailing the operation of Epsons T068/T069/T078 series cartridges.

2nd Internal Monitoring System disables re-use of Cartridge

When an individual cartridge is near the “Low Ink” (about 75 percent empty) stage, the monitoring system renders the cartridge “Un-Usable” and non refillable.

When the cartridge is in the “Low Ink” stage it will not be refillable.

In the event the ink level indicator drops to 25%,the cartridge will become electronically damaged and not recyclable.

A second backup ink monitoring system is an ink sensor inside the cartridge near the
egress hole. When this sensor gets dry due to ink depletion, the chip is written to as empty, and the cartridge is no longer resettable.

Refilling impossible if cartridge is empty

The result of all this is that if the chip receives a low or empty ink message it is not
resettable.

For these cartridges, like a car gas tank , they should always be refilled before they are empty.

Epson WorkForce 310 4-in-1 inkjet

Epson has added to its WorkForce line of business inkjet printers with a new model aimed at small businesses.

The WorkForce 310 incorporates fax, copy and scanning functions, as well as built-in Ethernet connectivity. The unit is said to print up to twice as fast as competing models, at 16ppm in black and 5.6ppm in color, judging by the new ISO/IEC 24734 standard. The standard is aimed at providing a consistent benchmark for comparing the speed of models from different manufacturers.

The printer holds two black cartridges, as well as individual cartridges for each color. The 310 also features a 30-sheet document feeder with support for double-sided printing, though paper must be flipped manually. The Ethernet port allows connection to a router for the sake of device sharing.

The WorkForce 310 is set to cost $150
